Eric Scott Painter
( November 17, 1964 - March 12, 2025 )
Eric Scott Painter, 60, of Lincolnton, NC, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Scott was born on November 17, 1964, in Newton, NC to Paul and Peggy Painter.
In 1983, he graduated in the top of his class from Bandy’s High School, where he was an avid sports player. He went on and attended NC State University’s School of Engineering, and acquired a bachelor’s degree in Material Science, and eventually became the Vice President of Blum in Stanley, NC.
He met his wife, Angela, who he was married to for 25 years, and had two children, Lexi and Deacon. Scott was known for his love and loyalty towards his family, as well as the hard work and determination he displayed every day. He was always kind, charismatic, and had great humor and wisdom.
Scott was a devoted husband and father, befriended everyone, and was the life of every party. He enjoyed watching football, basketball, and racing, as well as designing and building any project thrown at him. He loved going to every home Carolina Panthers game with his children, where he was one of the inaugural PSL owners, and was very loyal and passionate about the team. You could often find him cooking, grilling, and playing with his dogs.
Preceded in death: Mother and Father, Paul and Peggy Painter of Maiden, NC, and sister Kerry Peeler of Maiden, NC.
Survived by: Wife, Angela Painter, of the home, Children, Lexi and Deacon Painter, of the home, Brother, Jack Painter, of Maiden, NC, Aunt, Donna Lominac, of Newton, NC, and various nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be missed by his two fur babies, Rosco and Bear.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Scott’s life will be held on March 22, 2025, at 1:00pm at Mt. Anderson Baptist Church in Maiden, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in his honor.
Though Scott Painter may no longer be with us, his love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
