Ruth Irene Schronce Ramsey Rhyne

Ruth Irene Schronce Ramsey Rhyne, age 88, of Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Rhyne was born December 11, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Russell and Mae Armstrong Schronce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy E. Rhyne; and three sisters, Ada Slaughter, Wilma Stamey, and Alma Mace. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Ramsey Sisk (Paul) of Lincolnton, and Terri Ramsey Elliott (David) of Wilmington; brother, Glenn Schronce (Carol) of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Johnathan Elliott (Carie), Kelsey Elliott, Shea Amber Sisk, and Lindsey Magdalene Sisk; five great-grandchildren, Ayden McCarthy, Waylon Hopkins, Sloan Elliott, Cole Elliott, and Aezley Short; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Landers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1205 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
