Dorothy King Hudspeth, age 91, of Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Long Shoals Wesleyan Church with Pastor Jon Mann officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Hudspeth was born February 27, 1934, in Lincoln County, to the late Shelton and Iola Smith King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miles Hudspeth, and six brothers. She was a homemaker.
Surviving her are two daughters, Cynthia Blake (William) of Asheville, and Shanda Lawing (Jeff) of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Andrew Blake, Erin Cathey, Adam Blake, Caitlin Aldridge, and Allison Nguyen; six great-grandchildren, Avery Cathey, Natalie Cathey, Emilia Blake, Pepper Blake, Gracie Aldridge, and Rylee Aldridge; and two brothers, Larry King (Vicky) of Lincolnton, and Bill King (Melveena) of Newton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VIA Health Partners, PO Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247.
