Lewie Owens, age 78, of Union Church Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Mr. Owens was born March 26, 1947, in Dickenson County, Virginia, to the late Tom J. Owens and Lucy Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Penelope Hawthorne Owens; son, Dale Owens; and nine siblings. He worked as a welder for General Dynamics.
He is survived by two sons, Roger Owens (Tina) of Belwood, and Lewie Owens, Jr. (Cathy) of Vale; daughter, Loretta Owens Howard of Vale; two sisters, Gaye Edwards of Clintwood, VA, and Reba Jones of Palatka, FL; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and step-brother, Farrell Owens Honaker of Virginia.
Burial will take place at Owens Cemetery in Birchleaf, Virginia.
