Steven Hardin Byrd

Steven Hardin Byrd, age 56, of 103 Luna Lane in Dallas, died on Thursday, February 15, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Boger City Wesleyan Church with Rev. Jim Schall officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Steven was born May 18, 1961, in Gaston County, to the late Howard and Dixie Pilkington Byrd. He worked in maintenance for Edgewood Apartments in Gastonia.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Stines Byrd of the home; a son, Robert Stines, and wife Amanda, of Dallas; a daughter, Janice Byrd, and fiance Geoffrey, of Dallas; four brothers, Floyd Carver, and wife Diane, David Byrd, and Glenn Byrd, all of Dallas, and Danny Byrd, and wife Tammy, of Cramerton; three sisters, Kay Cox, and husband Mike, and Libby Stafford, and husband Roy all of Dallas, and Lynn Nations, and husband Steve, of Gastonia; and one grandchild, Alexis Byrd, of Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City Wesleyan Church, 2803 E. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the SECU Family House 1970 Baldwin Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
