Eddie Keith Lawing

Eddie Keith Lawing, age 74, of Slanting Bridge Road in Sherrills Ford, died on Friday, April 22, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.
Eddie was born March 7, 1948, in Lincoln County, to the late Ernest Wilson Lawing and Pauline Goodson Lawing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles. He worked for the United States Postal Service and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.
He is survived by his best friend and companion of 48 years, Evelyn Ann Laws; four cousins, Sam Goodson, Gerald Goodson, Jimmy Keever, Brenda Goodson Sigmon, and Betty Sue Garmon; numerous other cousins from Belmont and Lincoln County; and the family of Eric Maney.
Memorials may be made to the Catawba County Animal Control, 201 Government Services Drive, Newton, NC 28658.
