Cora Lee Woodruff Schrum

Cora Lee Woodruff Schrum, age 90, of Cheyenne Trail in Dallas, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Austin Rammell and Jonathan Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schrum was born November 21, 1931, in Caldwell County, to the late Manuel Woodruff and Della Crump Woodruff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Schrum; daughter, Brenda Kay Schrum; six brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, James Alfred Schrum (Barbara) of Lincolnton, and Neal Brian Schrum of Surfside Beach, SC; two daughters, Teresa Diane Drum (Gene) of Lincolnton, and Sandra Leigh Alexander (Gerald) of Dallas; brother, Guthrie Woodruff of Catawba County; two sisters, Lucille Smith of Denver, and Margaret Gafford of Lincolnton; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to express their thanks to Mrs. Schrum’s loving caregivers: Shannon Reep, Anna Ellison, Leah Gray, and Freida Moore, and the staff of Hospice of Lincoln County.
