Judy Carver Edwards
( March 26, 1943 - December 30, 2022 )
Judy Carver Edwards, age 79, of Sweet Clover Way in Denver, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2022.

Judy was born March 26, 1943, in Unicoi, Tennessee, to the late Bert and Manda Carver.  She also spent many of her younger years growing up in Akron, Ohio.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Larry Edwards; and sisters, Jean Pressler, Joann Raber, and Janet Randolph.

Judy had a brief career as a telephone operator in Akron, Ohio.  She was the Avon lady for the Lucia community for many years.  Judy also sold Cuisinart.  Demonstrations were her specialty! Judy cared for her husband and children while they traveled across the country with the pipeline construction. She made lifelong friends along the way.

Judy loved flowers!  They would always make her smile.  She traveled the United States with her husband.  Whether they traveled for work or for enjoyment, Judy was always by her husband’s side as his trusty navigator.  She was always ready to go, enjoying every minute on the road!  Even in her later years, her favorite saying was, “What are we doing today!”

Judy had such a heart for people!  Even though she never sought to be the center of attention, she left an impression on everyone who had the honor of knowing her!  Everyone she met became “family “ and immediately felt the love and joy that just flowed from her.  She exemplified the love of Christ!

Even though Judy was a gracious lovely lady, she was so strong.  She didn’t hesitate to bale hay, work cattle with Larry or race motorcycles.  One of her proudest moments was winning the Denver Powder Puff Cross Country Race.

But Judy’s greatest loves were Christ and her family.  She was active in her church and community.  Her family and friends could always rely on her unfailing love, amazing strength and joyful outlook.  She was the BEST of us!

She is survived by her children; a daughter, Robin Edwards Riddle and husband Rick, of Iron Station, a son, Bradley Edwards and wife Jodi of Iron Station, and four grandchildren, Logan Riddle, Dylan Riddle and wife Katelyn, Trey Edwards, and Caitlyn Edwards and fiance Preston Blake, and great grandson Griffin Riddle.

Her celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm. on Thursday, January 5, at Castanea Community Church, 14815 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Stanley, with Pastor Charles Barrier officiating.  Burial will follow in the Castanea Community Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Castanea Community Church, 14815 Lucia Riverbend Highway, Stanley, NC 28164, or to ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION at https://www.alz.org/northcarolina/donate
