Walter Eugene Hester, age 65, of Jenkins Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, in Hestertown Family Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Walter was born September 11, 1957, in Lincoln County, to the late Walter Vance Hester and Bertha Ledford Hester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Hester. He worked in textiles.
He is survived by two sisters, Vicky Bowman (Dennis), and Patricia Powell (Joey), all of Lincolnton; niece, Ashley Chavis (Richard), and their children Felix and Ethan; nephew, Dustin Hester and his wife and children; niece, Kendall Hester and her children; and niece, Suzanne Culbreth and her daughter, Samantha.
